NCAE Member Richard Klein & Associates is the recipient of a recent grant from the Wolf Aviation Fund to provide an expanded program of aviation education workshops for the nation's public school teachers. Richard Klein will be using the grant this summer to show educators in grades 4-8 in southern Illinois how to use aviation to teach mathematics, reading, social studies, science, and technology. The workshop will be coordinated with the Illinois Regional Office of Education #2 and will reach teachers of economically disadvantaged students.

Information about the effort will be reported to the Fund in order to guide others in developing similar programs. Richard also recently formed the Aviation Education Alliance NFP, which qualifies as a tax exempt public charity under I.R.S. Section 501 (c) (3). Its purpose is to provide and foster aviation education workshops in school districts and for educators across the nation.
