Aviation Education Alliance

5.0/5 rating (1 votes)

Richard Klein has been nationally recognized as a leader in the field of aviation education. Richard pioneered one of the most successful aviation programs ever to be found in a large metropolitan school system. The Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Citizens Schools Committee honored his educational efforts with several awards. He has formed a nonprofit organization, the Aviation Education Alliance, to expand on this work.

Richard develops aviation education activities for schools and professional staff development programs for educators nationwide. His programs focus on using aviation to teach reading, mathematics, social studies, science, and technology. Activities always align with current state educational standards and involve educators in fun-filled, highly interactive sessions. Richard designs programs to enhance essential skills and problem solving abilities. Programs are developed for teachers of grades kindergarten through high school sophomore. Numerous ready to use classroom lessons are always a highlight of his presentations.

Richard has been a keynote speaker during the education portion of the annual conferences of several state aeronautic departments. He has been a sought after speaker at the annual meetings of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
